Healthy, delicious, and super easy to make. Step-by-step directions with pictures make this recipe perfect for parent-kid preparation! Scroll down for the direct recipe (without pictures).
Servings: 2-3 Ingredients:
1 cup strawberries
• ½ cup frozen blueberries
• 2 cups plain whole milk yoghurt
• 1 cup apple juice
• 1 medium orange
• 1 Tbsp honey
Tools:
• Cutting board (for chopping strawberries)
• Medium knife (serrated or not)
• Serving glass
• Measuring materials
Notes: Add ice for an extra-cold slush. You can substitute fresh fruit for frozen fruit and vice versa. Use low-fat yoghurt for a healthier version, or vanilla/flavored yoghurt for a sweeter version. Don’t have honey? Use agave or maple syrup.
Directions: Prepare your fruit.
Chop off the tops of all your strawberries. Set aside.
Slice the orange in half and “peel” each half with your knife as shown. Then chop orange halves into small chunks.
Place the strawberry halves and orange chunks into blender, along with the yoghurt, frozen blueberries, and apple juice.
Blend for 30-60 seconds, until smooth. Add honey. Blend for another 10 to 15 seconds.
Pour into glasses.
Slide a strawberry quarter on the side of the glass if you’d like.
